Accor hotels, the International chain brand of Ibis, Novotel and Sofitel are always quite generous with their promotions. This can easily be a very lucrative offer for some people.
Accor are offering their customers the opportunity to earn up to £150 worth of points, which is about 10,000 points. Each 2,000 points is worth 40Euro/£29 and can be used to redeem against future hotel stays with the chain.
The more you stay, the greater your rewards:
– 1 stay of 2 nights or more = 1,000 points; equivalent to £15*
– 2 stays of 2 nights or more = 5,000 points; equivalent to £75*
– 3 stays of 2 nights or more = 10,000 points; equivalent to £150*

Now there are a few interesting ways you can achieve this offer without spending a fortune and/or combineit with your travels. You can also transfer these points to Avios for even better results. With this promotion you can also achieve Gold Le Club status since all points count towards it.
Accor Hotel Sales
Accor has a weekly sale in various European cities and Morocco. You can definitely find some bargains especially in Morocco.
Happy Monday is the standard UK & Ireland promotion from Accor and I have written about it extensively. Basically you need to book on Monday or Tuesday for the weekend from £25 in many cities.
Accor also has a promotion for hotels stays in Spain, Italy and Portugal for 45 Euros. This is only applicable to 75 Ibis hotels so don’t expect a resort like experience; though some sunshine is definite in there countries.
If you are going to the Middle East this summer for holidays or Ramadan then you can take advantage of the 30% and triple points for all Sofitel and Pullman hotels. This offer is available until the 30th of September so you might be able to avoid the intenseheat.
I always like to combine promotions with travel since it makes it more lucrative and I get more value out of my cash. I am definitely tempted to run for this promotion since I can convert the points to Avios.
Convert the points to Avios
With Accor hotels you can convert your points to Avios instead of taking the Accor points and redeeming against hotel stays. If you want to do this the best option for you is to transfer the points via Iberia rather than BA. Iberia transfer from Accor points 1:1 instead of the 2:1 you would receive if you transferred to BA directly.
In order to do this you will have to have an account with Iberia. You can visit Iberia’s website and sign up for free; note that in order to transfer points from/to Iberia your account needs to be 90 days old. So sign up ASAP. 🙂
10,000 Avios can give you a return within zone 1 of Europe, such as Milan, Paris, Geneva, Zurich etc. You can see all zones and Avios here.
