Accorhotels recently launched their new “Worldwide 40% sale + a free breakfast”. This is not a bad offer for some of their properties, especially if you have some trips planned from December to February.
You can book hotel stays between 16th of December and the 8th of February which includes Christmas. This makes it an excellent deal as some cities in Europe are quite cheap and you can enjoy the Christmas markets. Even though I don’t celebrate Christmas I love all the bright lights and atmosphere and if there is snow even better. 🙂

Here are some of the terms and conditions that are important for the free (in some cases) breakfast.
- Unfortunately, free breakfasts is not offered at Grand Mercure Magnetic Island, ibis, ibis style, ibis budget, Adagio and Adagio Access hotels.
- You must have a customer account to enjoy the free breakfast. You can create this account with your first reservation.
- The ibis budget brand only allows a discount of 30% for Accor Advantage Plus members, Le Club Accorhotels members and the general public.
However this is not the end, this promotion gets even better! I mean I love when I can book offers and make them even more value for money and fun, which is what excites me with all the travel deals. TopCashback in the UK offers up to 10% for Accor hotels and currently there is another offer from Avios for which I wrote here, and you can earn 2,500Avios per stay until 31st of December. That is excellent if you do have some Christmas stays or you want to take the family as you can book your hotel via Topcashback, receive the up to 40% discount and free breakfast and on top of that still get 2,500Avios per stay. Remember that this is actually per stay so if you stay five days you will only receive 2,500 Avios and if you stay only one day it will still be the same.
This is what I am planning to do with these offers. I actually do have a use and I need a hotel during my Christmas break so I am planning to book two hotel nights in the Netherlands using topcashback. Now because I am greedy I don’t want to let the 2,500Avios slide away from me so I will be booking one night on my name and one on my husbands name, this way we will receive 5,000Avios in total. This is a pretty decent deal as I found some 4 star hotels with breakfast for £50 per night!
Overall I am happy with this offer as it saves me money and earns me points. I did need a hotel to stay so this came just so handy.
