Hilton Flash Sale – How stacking up offers can save you money

One of my favourite things to do is to stack offers in order to make them cheaper for me.

Hilton got to be one excellent example. I logged into my American Express card yesterday to see that they had an offer spend £150 and receive £25 back. Not as generous as their previous offer of £50 for £150 spend but still £25 is better than £0.

So here is how my stacking up offers usually works:

1. I am planning my trip through Europe for later on this month. As I am Hilton Diamond, thanks to a status match, my preferred choice of hotels will be Hilton. I get free breakfast, lounge access, better room and wifi. I have approximately 8 nights of hotel stays in three different countries.

2. Hilton currently has their Flash 7 day sale with up to 30% discount from their best available rate. You can find their website here. The offer ends 13th of March.

3. Hilton Also has a very generous cashback at the moment due to their Flash sale, they are offering 12% cashback for rooms booked on the Flash sale promotion.  For those actually who are Topcashback members, like myself, I received an email with a 15% offer! Ooops, they did ask me to keep it secret as their valuable customer 😉

4. Finally whatever I book I will also be using my Amex offer as I said above giving me £25 back of my £150 spend.

Here is an example putting this together:

I am looking at the Hilton Budapest for 3 nights costing £59 per night. In total for three nights including taxes it comes to £200.

I will be booking via Topcashback at 15% cashback which will give me cashback of £30 for the £200 I spent.

Paying with my Amex card will also trigger the spend £150 get £25 back so I will also receive £25 credit note back from Amex. Bringing my total saving to £55.  Making my 3 night stay cost only £145 in total.

Unfortunately Hilton cashback now counts towards the £50 maximum transfer to Tesco. This made me sad

However transferring those £50 to Tesco and then Avios is about 12,000 Avios. A one way flight to Jeddah for Umrah with BA.

Overall I still consider this a good deal especially as I will be spending that money anyways. So stacking up these offering and making my money work harder is better.

If you have any travels planned then definitely consider using the Topcashback option even with 12% it is great deal. New to Topcashback you can sign up using my link which will help keep up the site and it’s much appreciated.
