Hotel Review: Hilton Capital Grand Abu Dhabi

Hilton Capital Grand Abu Dhabi

We are currently in Abu Dhabi for holidays, after I found some awesome plane tickets for £120, until recently this was my best discovery, but I will share my newest deal later inshaAllah. For our first day we stayed at the Hilton Capital Grand Abu Dhabi. As I had mentioned before there was a recent deal with 33% discount on Hilton hotels in EMEA.  Our flight arrived very early, around 6am so we were in the hotel at about 6.30am. Abu Dhabi airport is easy to navigate and as it was an early flight we were the only people at arrival, passport control and luggage were a breeze.

We took out private Uber car and headed to the hotel. We were very tired and so happy when we actually got a room at 7am. Thank you Hilton and my Gold status! The Hilton Capital Grand is actually a new and very nice hotel. The rooms where spacious and the staff made you feel welcome. It was definitely a bargain for the price I paid and for the points and service I received. I have said many times that for me Hilton Gold status is a a must for every family. You receive so many benefits and the best is your room upgrade, free breakfast, lounge access and internet, all these things actually cost way more than what I paid for the room. This year I am definitely after renewing my Hilton Gold inshaAllah, as for a family it can be a real saving.

Upon arrival we were upgraded and received lounge access as well as my preference of a great view to the highest floor possible. Actually the lounge had a great selection of food and snacks during breakfast and evening. I found this to be better than the Sofitel lounge club in Dubai.

My welcome gift

I really couldn’t fault the view, the room, the lounge or the staff. They have been excellent and I really loved the calligraphy on the wall above the bath, it was quite unique and a nice touch. Also I loved the fact that they had a prayer mat, The Holy Quran and the Qibla direction in the room, you might think that as a Muslim country this is given but it is not always the case.
Below are some photos from the Executive lounge on the 8th floor.

The Hilton hotel is close to the Grand mosque which makes it a perfect place if you want to visit often or pray there. A taxi ride costs 10 Dirhams and if you want to visit the Corniche it will be about 40 Dirhams and takes 20 minutes. Here the distances are much bigger and as you cannot walk outside taxis are cheap. You can of course choose the Hilton near the Corniche if you want to swim in the sea.I found my stay at Hilton Capital Grand to have been excellent and I will definitely recommend this to anyone. The price was good, the service great and the rooms spacious, perfect for a Ramadan treat if you cannot make it for Umrah inshaAllah, as Sheikh Zayed’s mosque is so close.
